Traditional tutoring centers teach through multiple student groups with a set curriculum and little time for individualized instruction or help. The one-on-one instruction provided by Tutor Doctor is superior to this approach. Our tutors also use a student's homework as the core curriculum for helping them succeed in the classrooms. Traditional tutoring centers provide very little individualization as they use set curriculum that's over and above the student's existing homework. This creates a further burden on a child who's already behind, by adding to their overall work load.

Contact with a student's current teachers is also important. Traditional tutoring centers generally have no contact with classroom teachers but our tutors are often in regular contact with student's teachers, beginning with a teacher feedback assessment requested for each student. Tutors then work hand-in-hand with a student's teachers to create a tutoring program that is geared towards the student's needs.

Tutor Doctor's services cover all grade levels, from kindergarten to university, and incorporate an understanding of different student learning styles. We even provide tutoring for adults. NTA - National Tutor Association

NTA's mission is to foster the advancement of professional and peer tutoring, support research into best practices and standards for all tutors, support tutor training, advocate for tutor certification, and uphold the NTA Code of Ethics. As such the NTA is not a private tutorial agency and does not accept students for tutorial study. The NTA is not a sanctioning or arbitration agency.

IFA - International Franchise Association

The International Franchise Association, founded in 1960, is a membership organization of franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers. The International Franchise Association Code of Ethics is intended to establish a framework for the implementation of best practices in the franchise relationships of IFA members. The Code represents the ideals to which all IFA members agree to subscribe in their franchise relationships. The Code is one component of the IFA's self-regulation program, which also includes the IFA Ombudsman and revisions to the IFA bylaws that will streamline the enforcement mechanism for the Code. The Code is not intended to anticipate the solution to every challenge that may arise in a franchise relationship, but rather to provide a set of core values that are the basis for the resolution of the challenges that may arise in franchise relationships. Also the Code is not intended to establish standards to be applied by third parties, such as the courts, but to create a framework under which IFA and its members will govern themselves. The IFA's members believe that adherence to the values expressed in the IFA Code will result in healthy, productive, and mutually beneficial franchise relationships. The Code, like franchising, is dynamic and may be revised to reflect the most current developments in structuring and maintaining franchise relationships.

CFA - Canadian Franchise Association

The Canadian Franchise Association represents over 400 franchise companies and the professionals who support the franchise industry. The CFA represents all regions of the country, and promotes a strong code of ethics as well as the mandatory use of the CFA disclosure document guide.

In signing on as a CFA member, franchisors agree to give potential franchisees all the information they require to make a viable business decision.
